Setting our own standards instead of following others

The ICM – Internationales Congress Center München – is one of the most modern and successful congress centers in the world that satisfies all requirements for events of any size. With seating for up to 6,000 people, flexible rooms for up to 3,000 people and some 8,000 m² of exhibition space, it sets new standards in architecture, equipment, infrastructure and service.

Particularly advantageous: being located directly next to the Messe München exhibition grounds. Combining the ICM with Hall C1 alone makes it an outstanding venue for events with up to 12,000 participants. And by combining the ICM with other exhibition halls, even "mega events" for larger groups of participants are no problem whatsoever.

Connecting Global Competence

The ICM - Internationales Congress Center München is integrated into the Messe München International. With some 180,000m² exhibition space in the halls, it satisfies the best prerequisites for major national and international conventions. The ICM features all the state-of-the-art equipment that makes a modern congress center both efficient and convenient: air-conditioning, variable stage configurations, screens that can be positioned anywhere for multiple-projector presentations, moving light bridges, state-of-the-art data and video projection capabilities, digital control consoles, separate control booths, simultaneous interpreter booths and much more.

Munich – An optimum location
One of the ICM's unique selling points is that it is located in Munich: The "Metropolis with Heart" does a perfect job of combining the professionalism of a commercial, media and research center with culture and hospitality. Its hotels are world class, and its many sights and cultural institutions are internationally renowned. Munich's public infrastructure is one of the most efficient in the world. And the Munich airport is one of the most important hubs for air traffic in Europe.

Tradition and vision
Munich definitely has a tradition as a congress and conference venue, especially in the medical and pharmaceutical sectors, but it has only managed to successfully position itself at the international level due to the ICM and since the trade-fair center moved to its current location in 1998. Since then, the ICM has gone through a period of outstanding economic growth and is now considered one of the leading venues in the world. To continue strengthening its position, the trade-fair center and the city of Munich are promoting an integrated municipal-marketing program under the supervision of the Department of Labor and Economic Development, a permanent element in its efforts to promote the city's ongoing development.
